What we do
We tested twelve sites we’ve built the same way we tested 100 Dundee business websites for our benchmark: a mid-range phone on a slow 4G connection. The typical Dundee site weighed 1.7 MB and took 5.1 seconds to show its main content. The typical one of twelve recent builds of ours weighed about 330 KB, five times lighter, and showed its main content in under three seconds.
Only one of the 100 Dundee sites we audited passed all ten search basics. Ours launch with page titles that say what you do and where, structured data, a sitemap, and IndexNow telling Bing the moment anything changes. If you’re replacing an old site, every old address is redirected: when Tannadice Motors moved to a new 1,483-page site, all 1,478 old URLs came across.
Nearly a third of the Dundee sites we audited send none of the five common security headers. The sites we build send all five as standard, run on servers we manage and patch ourselves, and have the usual attack routes, like WordPress’s xmlrpc, closed before anyone goes looking.

Not if the move is planned. Every old URL with traffic or links gets a single redirect to its closest new page, the sitemap is rebuilt, and we watch Search Console after launch. It’s how all 1,478 of Tannadice Motors’ old addresses came across to their new site.
