The human version
- This website doesn’t set any cookies of its own.
- No analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no social media trackers. That’s why there’s no cookie banner.
- The only exception: if our website firewall needs to check a visit isn’t a bot, it may set a short-lived, strictly necessary security cookie.
This summary is here to make things easier to follow. The full text below is the version that applies.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website can store on your device. Some are essential to make a site work; many are used to track what you do across the web.
The cookies we use
None of our own. The Purple Imp website doesn’t set cookies to remember you, measure you or advertise to you. The contact form works without them too.
The one exception: security
The site sits behind Bunny.net’s web application firewall. If it sees traffic that looks automated, it may ask your browser to complete a quick check and store a short-lived cookie to remember that you passed. That cookie is strictly necessary to protect the site, doesn’t track you and isn’t used for anything else, so under UK rules it doesn’t need your consent.
Fonts and our content delivery network
Our fonts are served by Bunny Fonts rather than Google Fonts, and the site is delivered through Bunny’s content delivery network. Neither sets cookies on this site. Like any web server, they see your IP address in order to send you the page.
Other websites
Our Stuff page links to websites we’ve built for clients. Those sites have their own cookie policies, which may differ from ours.
Controlling cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking everything won’t stop this site working.
