My Football Facts
The My Football Facts project represents one of the most significant “Data Management & Integration” challenges the Purple Imp team has ever tackled. As a “mega-site” in the sports world, the platform is a titan of information, housing a staggering archive of statistics, trivia, and historical records spanning the entire history of global football. However, the site’s previous success had become its primary obstacle; the sheer volume of content—over 16,000 indexed pages—had caused the legacy navigation to fail entirely, leaving a treasure trove of data virtually inaccessible to fans, journalists, and broadcasters.
Purple Imp stepped in to perform a complete digital rescue mission. We designed and built a fresh, modern, and fully responsive version of the website, but the real victory lay in the high-stakes data migration. Our team successfully exported every single byte of content from the old platform, ensuring that decades of footballing history were preserved. This wasn’t a simple move; it was a total technical overhaul that required surgical precision to ensure no data was lost or corrupted in transit.
Once the export was complete, we painstakingly refactored and restructured the entire database. We took a chaotic, sprawling archive and organized it into set categories with a logical, intuitive order. By re-importing this cleaned data into a high-performance framework, we transformed an overwhelming “data dump” into a sleek, functional, and highly searchable research tool. The results speak for themselves: My Football Facts is now back at the top of its game, providing a world-class experience for millions of users who can finally find the facts they’re looking for.

Master-Level Data Migration & Refactoring
The technical scale of this project was immense, requiring us to manage a transition that many agencies would find daunting. We didn't just transfer the content; we "refactored" it, cleaning up the backend architecture to ensure that every table, stat, and trivia point was placed in a logical hierarchy. This complex process of exporting, restructuring, and re-importing has created a robust foundation that allows the site to handle massive traffic and continue expanding its data set without ever sacrificing speed or stability.

Optimizing Discovery for a Mega-Data Platform
In an environment where "more is more," the user experience lives or dies by the quality of its navigation. We replaced the failing legacy system with a fresh, responsive design that prioritizes ease of discovery, ensuring that whether a user is looking for 1870s FA Cup results or modern Premier League hat-trick records, the answer is only a few clicks away. By aligning sharp "Imaging & Graphic Design" with a clean, mobile-first interface, we have ensured that the site's vast content is finally as engaging as it is informative.
